Jack Malik is a struggling singer-songwriter in an English seaside town whose dreams of fame are rapidly fading, despite the fierce devotion and support of his childhood best friend, Ellie. ‘Yesterday’ takes its genius idea and unfortunately turns it into a generic film. Both director Danny Boyle and writer Richard Curtis have proven their creativity before, but here it's just wasted along with everything else. - Chris dos Santos
